EPHEMERA [uma certeza inefável]

The ephemeris (aquatic insect), whose name derives from the Greek ephemeros, is born in the water, while nymph (subimagus) and when it is ready for the next stage - emerges - remaining afloat, until its wings fully develop and thus fly ( becoming adult / imago). While surfacing, it is time in their cycle when they are most unprotected and using the drift process to avoid predators.
After becoming imagos they move against the current, mate and lay their eggs and die within a short time (one to two days).
This installation intends to be a metaphor about the humanization of the ephemeris in the poetics of experience.

A efemérida (inseto aquático) cujo nome deriva do grego ephemeros, nasce na água, enquanto ninfa (subimago) e quando está pronta para o próximo estágio – emerge - permanecendo à tona da água até desenvolver por completo as asas e assim voar (tornando-se adulto/imago). Enquanto se encontram à tona da água é a altura do seu ciclo em que estão mais desprotegidas e utilizam o processo de deriva para evitarem os predadores.
Após tornarem-se imagos movimentam-se contra a corrente, acasalam e depositam os seus ovos e morrem num curto espaço de tempo (um a dois dias).
Esta instalação pretende ser uma metáfora sobre a humanização da efeméride na poética da vivência.

"Save as..." can be an internal process of memory archive. It is this type of "file" that is addressed in this Installation.Bachelard, in The Poetics of the Daydream (1996, p. 114) addresses the need to get rid of a historical memory and throw ourselves into an unexpected entangled memory where chaos can allow an intensification of experience.
It does not matter what happened/happens but whether, when this memory is shared (regardless of the means of sharing) it Transforms - [Transturns] - Expands - Frees].

“Guardar como...” pode ser um processo interior, de arquivo de memória. É este tipo de “arquivo” que é abordado nesta Instalação. Bachelard, em A Poética do Devaneio (1996, p. 114) aborda a necessidade de nos desembaraçarmos de uma memória histórica e lançarmo-nos sobre uma memória inesperável, emaranhada onde o caos pode permitir uma intensificação da vivência.
Não importa o que aconteceu/acontece mas sim se ao ocorrer a partilha dessa memória (independemente dos meios de partilha) ela Transforma – [Transtorna] – Amplia – Liberta.]
