'You're Not Enough' is a video that explores the mixed feelings about the potential for a greener future and the environmental costs of achieving it. The project focused specifically in the transformation of Serra da Freita landscapes through the construction of wind turbines for green electric energy production. The construction and installation of the wind turbines began in 2001 and was completed in 2009. As a child, I remember watching large trucks transport massive pieces of turbines up to the mountains. At that time, green energy was an exciting prospect for a greener future in my hometown, and I was learning about it in school. However, with time, I began to feel conflicted, thinking about the beautiful natural landscapes that were transformed into wind turbine parks and the impact on the local flora and fauna.
Freita mountains are part of the Arouca Geo Park in Aveiro, northern Portugal, with an elevation of 1077 meters at their highest point. The park is included in the UNESCO Global Geopark Network and boasts a rich and rare diversity of flora and fauna. 
This video includes short contemplative fragments of these landscapes, contrasting the natural beauty with the now-called 'wind turbine parks.'
The video was presented at Casa da Cultura in Estarreja between 2020 and 2021.

'You're Not Enough' é um projeto que explora a contradição entre o potencial de um futuro verde e os custos ambientais para alcançá-lo. O projeto foca-se especificamente na transformação da paisagem da Serra da Freita através da construção de turbinas eólicas para a produção de energia elétrica verde. A construção e instalação das turbinas eólicas começou em 2001 e foi concluída em 2009. Quando era criança, lembro-me de assistir aos grandes camiões a transportar as peças maciças das turbinas até às montanhas. Naquela altura, a energia verde era uma perspetiva incrível para um futuro mais verde na minha terra natal, e eu estava a aprender sobre isso na escola. No entanto, com o tempo, comecei a compreender o outro lado da moeda, pensando nas belas paisagens naturais transformadas em parques eólicos e no impacto na flora e fauna locais.
A Serra da Freita faz parte do Geoparque de Arouca, em Aveiro, no norte de Portugal, com uma altitude de 1077 metros no seu ponto mais alto. O parque está incluído na Rede Global de Geoparques da UNESCO e possui uma diversidade de flora e fauna incrivelmente rara e rica.
Este vídeo inclui breves fragmentos contemplativos dessas paisagens, contrastando a beleza natural com os agora chamados 'parques eólicos'.
